Re: Electric hand brake versus P on the selector lever
The electric handbrake is automatically engaged when you switch off anyway. If your question is for reasons of protecting the handbrake from overuse, you don’t really have that option I don’t think.

I’m driving round with a lake in the car
Hi all, Bit concerned to find a good inch of water in the boot underneath the emergency tyre inflation kit. I’d recommend you have a look cos it doesn’t seem like a good thing to be in there. I can’t work out how it got there, can’t find any damp patches in any fabric parts - is it just condensation...

Re: Front Windscreen Wipers
Yeah it seems to be a design flaw. I think you can lift it if you lift the bonnet first, it's just a bit of a silly way round. I ask a friend (read: long-suffering better half) to hold it whilst I clean under usually. Add it to the niggles list - this car feels like a beta test sometimes. (I got to ...

Child car seat
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has any experience with child car seats in the newer corsa yet? The rear seats have a really steep angle which seems to make the car seat too upright. It seems that a model 1 year old doesn't exist to websites and manufacturers to check compatibility. Baby not due fo...

Software update from Nov
Hi all, Updated my corsa-e touch screen software last night after app advised, the only thing I can find from a 5gb update so far is the scale on the miles/kWh graph is more realistic it now goes to 7.5. Anyone else noticed any other changes/improvements? Is there a change log anywhere? Still no joy...

Re: Range question - charging to 206 miles
I actually find the range estimator on the Vauxhall website quite accurate. https://www.vauxhall.co.uk/cars/new-corsa/electric.html They suggest 45mph in normal mode with climate control off to get your 200+miles. It's been averaging 5 degrees OAT recently, heaters on and 70mph commutes it's pretty ...

Service interval
Hi all, The service light came on on my corsa-e at just shy of 8000 miles. I’ve only had it since july. Dealership is convinced it’s too early and has suggested 16k or 2yrs. Can anyone offer any information? The dealership that sold it did say it would be 8k (I’m somewhere else for service) and Vaux...

Electric traction system fault
Hi all, Just want to start raising this in case others experience it. I had a warning (quite insistent audio and visual on the dash) saying electric traction fault when i turned on my car after an overnight charge. Strangely it still let me engage forwards and start moving but i didn’t go more than ...
