No problem, it's fine and I'm happy to help. The answer to all of your questions is yes with the exception of the time I was driving. I was only driving for 20 minutes or so (quick trip the tip and I left it running while I was there). I did leave it running for a further hour when I got home though...

I have same version as you and my car is 3 weeks old.

After you get the update failure, I left mine as I was driving and a minute later the map options appear.
