Electric Parking Brake Failure (EPB)

Hi guys,
I have now had my Elite Automatic (Petrol) nearly 6 months with no issues until the (EPB) and Foot Brake have
given me cause for concern.
A week ago I was stopped at traffic lights and tried to pull away as usual with EPB in (Auto), as I accelerated
the vehicle refused to move and it appeared that the Rear Brakes Discs had Locked Up without any warning and
engine stalled?
After putting Hazzard Lights on I tried pressing Foot Brake but that was unmovable so only option was to switch of
ignition wait a short time whilst trying to release the foot brake. Re-started vehicle pressed foot brake and was able
to select Auto Drive again and safely continued our journey. However several minute later (ABS) Service Warning
appeared on dash then went out. Continued and again several minutes passed and (Brake) Service Warning appeared
and also went out.
After parking up left vehicle for about 20 minutes then restated vehicle fine but was unable to depress the foot brake
again as was too firm. Again switched ignition off pumped foot brake a couple of times and all started up fine again.
After this happened again a few days later, I have now left vehicle with Vauxhall Eden for Diagnostics and further
investigation.
That day I received call from the Service Department to say No Fault Found ?? I advised the Service Assistant that I was
not happy and wanted further investigation done even if an engineer had to drive the vehicle home and back as I thought
the vehicle was unsafe for me to drive and for others on the road.
They have now had vehicle 3 days and only comment I can get ( Is we are working on it ) ? but at least they doing some
think. Reported these events to Sales Department this morning and enquired about options to replace vehicle for Manual
Hand Brake. Sales advised that all Vauxhall Automatics now come with (EPB) but have recorded my concerns.
Sorry this a bit long winded but hopefully other Automatic Owners can see what I have been through.
Happy Days
Derek
