Boot Falling Through

Morning all,

Random post but I need some advice. I recently swapped my Corsa F Elite Nav Premium for an Corsa F Ultimate Auto, both 70 reg cars.

However... the boot floor just doesn't stay up on my new one, it falls through. There is nothing at the front for it to secure on to. It is just a nightmare when going shopping. Doesn't matter what you put in it or the weight, the floor warps in the middle and my shopping falls through. Didn't have this at all with my previous Corsa F.

The only thing I can think of is that this car has a spare tyre in it, where as my previous one had the kit.

Has anybody else experienced this? I'll try and take some pictures and add them. The vauxhall garage were clueless when I took it back.

TIA,
James :)

may be the boot floor got wet before and when dried again its dimensions changed ?!! happened once to me in another car.

the other bad possibility which I hate to tell you is may be that Corsa was rear ended and not repaired according to specs, so rear section dimensions were not carefully adjusted according to specifications, so boot area got wider than before, may be ?

No mate,I have a Corsa f se premium and have exactly the same problem and I don't have a spare wheel, just the repair kit and have the same problem with shopping, just can't put any in.i think that it's just a bad design as the boot floor at the front only had those two flimsy plastic brackets to rest on with no support in the middle,I too asked the dealer and they asked if I'd had anything heavy in????.very poor design I think.

The problem is the cover floor falls into the wheel space. It bends downward and eventually stays warped giving the impression that it is too short front to back. Best packing the spare wheel area. I changed mine to carry a skinny wheel, waterproofs and a canvas bag for tools. Then I put a large rubber mat over the floor. No more problems.
