Display Screen Blackout

I previously posted an issue with my NEW 2024 Corsa infotainment screen blacking out after only 600 miles.
Because of the delay waiting for the dealer to sort it I disconnected the negative earth lead from the battery and cleaned up the battery pillar and connection covering with silicon grease and re connecting.
I noticed that on the battery pillar it was coated with a substance that had dried to a white powder like corrosion and was therefore not giving a good electrical connection.
Disconnecting the battery is like switching off your phone or PC to re boot.
Leave for about 10 minutes re- connect the lead and this re boots the system. The screen immediatly came back up. Everything now works fine and no further issues.
