Parking brake light

I’m having an issue with parking brake light on a manual car.
The parking brake light isn’t on when the PB is up and engaged. There is no fault with the PB itself as it is holding the car.
The bulb behind the dash is ok as it illuminates when the ignition is turned on.
Is it likely to be an easy fix? Eg loose wire/sensor on the PB itself
