Sat nav updates not working

Hello. I recently purchased a Vauxhall Corsa Griffin 2019 plate in March of this year. I've noticed the sat nav maps are out of date and the manual isn't much help so I went online and found instructions on Vauxhalls website to download a file to a USB stick and then pop it into the car. I have tried this twice now on different USB sticks and still nothing happens. I contacted Vauxhall and they said there is no free update for my make of car. Their website states there are free map updates so I am a little confused. The car is still in warranty so I would expect.the map updates to be free for as long as the warranty. Any ideas on how to get the updates to work please? Thanks
