I have 2019 Corsa F with automatic transmission. Today while driving 120km/h on highway suddenly the engine stopped responding to gas pedal. I saw the revv indicator going up as pressed the pedal but car instead started to slow down. I came to complete stop then dash screen displayed “Manual restart required”. So I switched off the engine, when turned on the ignition now dash displayed “Engine fault: Repair needed” with warning sound. The engine no longer turns on. When I try starting the engine I see the engine making the usual “start up noise” but ignition never happens.
Today is Sunday and workshops are closed. I called an emergency service and parked the car in a safe place, will see what I can do tomorrow…
Anyone else had this issue before? Any clues what might be the problem?
Thank you.
